The Brazilian health and medical services sector is well-developed, especially in the larger cities where there are sizable percentages of wealthy residents. Average prices for plastic surgery, for example, show that the cost of breast augmentation is around US$3,800 (compared to US$8,000 in the US); breast reduction, US$3,200 (US$9,000 in the US); a face lift, US$4,500 (as opposed to US$15,000 in the US) and rhinoplasty, US$2,100 (US$6,000 in the US). A complete liposuction procedure will cost around US$4,700 ($13,500 in the US) and gluteal augmentation is priced at about US$4,200 (US$9,500 in the US).
