If time and post-operative health permit, some exploring and appreciation of the Czech Republic’s other assets should be pursued. Prague is a city well worthy of its capital status and is brimming with excellent attractions such as Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, St Vitus Cathedral, Old Town square, Jewish quarter and Wenceslas square. Add to this a plethora of museums and art galleries and a fantastic local dining scene, and it’s not difficult to see why the city attracts such a high volume of visitors.

Other destinations of merit include the rural regions of Bohemia and Moravia with their fine national parks and the towns of Krivoklat and Zlata Koruna with their interesting architectural features.
