Germans are renowned worldwide for being precise and expert in all that they do and this is reflected throughout the German healthcare system. German hospital rooms may not be as luxurious as the hotel-like comfort found in private Thai hospitals but in general, they are comfortable and more importantly clean, making the environment perfect for a quick recovery.
Safety on the streets is in general not a concern and public sanitation is of the highest standards, with excellent systems for recycling. Cases of bird flu have been found in animals but the risk to humans is minimal.
