Bangkok Hospital Samui

Bangkok Hospital Samui belongs is a satellite branch of a network of 15 private hospitals in Thailand. It is located on the resort island of Koh Samui and offers a full range of medical facilities.

The Bangkok Hospital network is one of the most advanced medical groups in Southeast Asia, featuring cutting-edge technology and a full roster of well-trained staff. Surgeons and specialists are trained in the latest techniques and have often received their formal education in North America or Europe.

Bangkok Hospital Samui is considered a secondary healthcare facility and doesn’t have the scope of its counterpart in Thailand’s capital city. There are 50 patient beds, 15 full-time physicians on staff (the largest number of doctors on the island) and a full team of nurses and technicians.

The hospital’s state-of-the-art facilities include two modern operational theaters, a Hemodialysis unit, a spiral CT scanner and a fully-stocked blood bank. It also boasts Emergency and Trauma unit with well-equipped ambulances. The Medivac team rushes critically ill patients in from other islands in the Gulf of Thailand.

Specialized clinics within the hospital include Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Psychiatry, Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Pediatrics and Orthopedics. The inpatient department is equipped with six fully-equipped ICU beds.

More than half of the patients at Bangkok Hospital Samui are foreign-born, and among these only a small percentage are part of local expatriate communities. Most of the patients are enrolled in medical tourism packages. The staff is well-versed in medical tourism and can assist patients with paperwork, travel arrangements and even airport pickups.
