Chiangmai Ram Hospital

Chiangmai Ram Hospital is the centerpiece of Thailand’s Ramkhamhaeng Group of hospitals, one of the country’s most respected medical groups. It is the most prominent hospital in northern Thailand, serving large numbers of expatriates and tourists.

The hospital opened in the early 1990s and currently offers 350 patient beds across 12 floors. It is located near the old city within easy access of all of Chiang Mai’s major hotels and downtown tourist attractions.

Chiangmai Ram employs highly qualified physicians, with 46 onsite specialists and more than three times as many consultants. The hospital offers comprehensive healthcare in virtually every discipline, with more than 20 specialized clinics to see to specific patient needs.

There are currently seven operating rooms available, with two additional rooms undergoing renovation. When these latter two open they will offer cutting-edge treatment for gastro-intestinal problems. Four emergency rooms are outfitted to address any medical emergency. The hospital maintains a mobile cardiac ambulance in addition to four regular ambulances.

There are three room types available to inpatients. Single rooms are comfortable and provide television, a private telephone line, a balcony and refrigerator. Single rooms in the international ward go on to include high-speed internet, a customizable reclining bed and several other amenities. Deluxe rooms are essentially suites with comfortable dining and sitting areas as well as personalized care.
