For surgery such as breast augmentation or liposuction, costs will come to US$4,000 on average, compared to US$6,000 upwards for the same procedures in America. Refractive surgery and glaucoma surgery for the eyes offer high savings at about US$2,000 per treatment compared to US$5,000 or more in developed countries. For major surgery such as hip replacement, medical tourists will save nearly half compared to the cost of treatment in the US.
