Philippines Medical Costs

Until recently, Manila - the capital of the Philippines - was also the hub of medical tourism, with some of the country’s most exclusive hospitals and centers located in the heart of the city. Asian Hospital, Capitol Medical Centre, Philippine Heart Centre and the National Kidney and Transplant Centre are among the internationally renowned centers for medical treatment in the city. Today, however, visitors have a large choice of destinations all offering equally high standards of care but often at far more picturesque locations.

Artery bypass procedures cost about US$10,000, almost half the price of that in any hospital in a developed country. Kidney transplants are priced at US$60,000, a saving of more than half compared to Western prices. Cosmetic surgery such as liposuction can be found for as little as US$3,000, while dental procedures such as a complete set of denture implants will set you back less than US$500.
