It’s the low hospital costs that have so many people leaving their home country for plastic surgery abroad. Where a facelift including brows and eyelids would cost upwards of US$13,000 in the US, in Venezuela the bill would come to just US$5,000. A chin implant worth US$4,000 in the US costs roughly US$1,500 at a Margarita Island clinic. Other procedures like liposuction, rhinoplasty and breast lifts are all offered at half the price of similar procedures in American clinics, and many Venezuelan hospitals have discounted flight options for patients.
